CALVI was established in 1950 by Otmar Calvi, for the purpose of manufacturing special steel profiles with sections of complex geometry to customer's specifications. After moving to Merate in the 1960's, CALVI has become one of the major companies in the industrial district of Lacco, an area that is highly specialized in metal working.
One of CALVI’s strong points is the capability of designing and building their own machinery thus making it particularly suitable for manufacturing profiles of complex geometry with very high dimensional accuracy. More than 4.000 shapes already produced testify to the Company’s capacity to meet any type of challenge.

Active co-operation with the Customer in finding solutions to technical and design requirements, together with an experience of over 50 years are the main factors lying behind the company’s success. Hence CALVI’s attention is focused on offering a full service to every customer: from technical consultancy in the profile development phase, to identification of the most suitable materials and optimal production parameters in accordance with the customer's requirements.

Founded in 1913 by Luigi Mazzacchera and specializing in the production of special drawn steel profiles to the design and specifications of the client, FIAV L. Mazzacchera S.p.A. has, over the course of its long history, produced around 20 thousand profiles of different shapes and in all types of steel.

The company’s strong point is the production of medium and small section size profiles in bar or coil form, using and combining all available hot and cold deformation technology. The company also has the capacity to manage production of small batches and has great experience in the working and treatment of stainless steel, with the possibility of various surface finish grades up to ‘mirror finish’ as well as traditional special drawn profiles, FIAV L.MAZZACCHERA S.p.A. is also distinguished for production of semi-finished products for the energy and nuclear sectors.

Hoesch Schwerter Profile GmbH develops special steel profiles in close collaboration with individual users or branches of industry. In contrast to the mass production of other suppliers, however, the Schwerte plants make products whose properties are determined by the customers according to their requirements. The various production processes available from Hoesch Schwerter Profile GmbH mean that our customers are not necessarily even bound to high tooling costs and long tooling-up times. Small batches of special profiles can also be manufactured economically.

The different profiling processes make it possible to form the material so that it can meet all respective economical, structural and optical conditions.
For many branches of industry and businesses Hoesch Schwerter Profile GmbH is also an interesting partner because alongside the different production methods, further processing steps are also offered, such as: sawing, milling, submerged arc welding, drilling, heat treatment and surface finishing.

We produce special profiles in every shape, grade and surface finish to meet the needs of application. The profiles are then used in nearly all branches of the steel processing industry as structural elements or specific parts.
